MBNA security breach of my details

Comments

  • :Aplease dont apologise. My tone wasnt meant for you at all. Sorry if you thought it was. I really do feel like MBNA should offer something. I would preffer them to pay the £14 pound year protection from CIFAS for several years because my concern is more about someone applying for things and affecting my credit rating. Maybe i could use the money to buy that security.
Thanks for your replies. Honestly they are so helpful thanks

once a fraudster realises that the stolen id wont work they stop using it which why the cifas password will only last for 13 months.
  • What I like about mbna cards is you can see how much you owe without even opening the envelope.!
I have a deep burning indifference

You should be keeping an eye on the statements every month anyway. Everyone should be checking their bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis to protect themselves from fraud.

We have to do our part to beat fraud also. :j

We do check our statements, I check everything on them, I just meant is there anything we need to do, apart from keeping an eye on the statements?

I have just received a letter from MBNA dated 30/01/10 so perhaps this data breach is more widespread?
