At the moment i am with madasafish broadband and have been happy so far but i have seen be broadband for half the price £7.50 for 40gb where at the moment i pay £13.99 for 5gb.is migrating from madasafish likely to be a headache.
My other question is the modem they supply the same as a router that can be secured with wep or wsk, and can i use my d-link dsl-g624t router instead of it.
thanks

1) Interesting they didn't use to have a 40GB limit
2) Migrating won't be a problem
3) Yes it is a router they supply - a rebranded Thomson, you can use your own if you wish
4) Be is the same company as O2 http://broadband.o2.co.uk/home/packages.jsp - if you have an O2 phone you can get unlimited download for £7.500 -

WEP is about as secure as a chocolate teapot. Any new router will support WPA, which is what you should be using. No free lunch, and no free laptop

The router that Be/o2 supply these days is a re-branded Thompson, it comes with wep security set as default, but the good news is that it can be altered to use wpa2, you can also adjust various other settings as well if you want to..
The £7.50 (40gb) Value package from Be was only introdued a few days ago, quite a price drop from what the Value package was previously set at, but now with a 40gb download limit, which will not be enforced untill June.0
