I understand that, but when I change the key, then try to get online, I am not being asked for the new key.I only get cannot connect. I must be doing something wrong.I thought that I would be asked for new key to reconnect?I think I,m the Muppet
Click on your wireless icon in the tray and search for available networks, select yours and click connect when you will be prompted to enter your key. If you haven't already changed the SSID in the router, you could change that to something unique and then when you try to connect to the new network name, you will be prompted to enter the encryption key. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I didn,t think I needed to change SSID name. I will try changing both, and see if that works.Click on your wireless icon in the tray and search for available networks, select yours and click connect when you will be prompted to enter your key. Thanks esresso, yet again you prevail. By changing SSID and key, ok. I would have liked to have used 64bit, but had trouble copy and pasting to wordpad, have to work that one out. Dont want to rely on "my" writing down. never used notepad before.Again I thank you, more peace of mind now:jClick on your wireless icon in the tray and search for available networks, select yours and click connect when you will be prompted to enter your key.
