Loving some of the responses! LOL
I did as suggested and sent an email to them, and just had this response:

  • I rang and praised our Tesco delivery guy before Christmas (well TBH I rang to whinge about the lack of price matching on a sub but praised the driver as well!). We've always had fantastic service out of the Yeovil store. All the driver's have been cheerful and happy.

We used to have problems with the picking and packing at the Bristol store we used but even then the driver's were great.

I'd worked out I had enough cat/child food to make it thorough to this morning.

My delivery came yesterday too and our roads are very bad, my delivery was for 11-1 and he was there at 11.15, very impressed and I sent a e mail to Tesco saying how impressed I was and had a e mail back from them.

Having read the thread of Tesco's complaints, I thought it only fair to praise the guys when they do well!

I live in a small town in the north of Sussex, now if you have had you head under the duvet you may have not noticed but we've had a bit of snow, well I say a bit... about 6-8inches by yesterday and a further 6-8 inches due over this weekend! As I say I am in a teeny town and we have had no gritters/ ploughs, nothing! Road are roughly 1.5 inches of solid ice covered in snow. I have tried digging my car out, only to find I can't clear enough to get car out..

Sooooo it was with little hope that I signed up for Tecso's home delivery. I ordered £60 worth of shopping and the soonest 'slot' free which was last night 6-8pm. I'd worked out I had enough cat/child food to make it thorough to this morning, as was fully expecting to get a call saying 'cancelled' but thats okay I reasoned that the main road would clear before my side road, so I could just walk to the little shop for essentials and the Tesco delivery would arrive when weather improves.

I get a phone at 5.25pm, man identifies himself as being from tesco's and I wait for the 'Sorry delivery is cancelled' But no, he is my driver and he is only 4 minutes away and could he come earlier! 'Yes of course' says a shocked me.
Driver arrives and he explains he is trying to get around everyone as quickly as possible as the weather is due to get worse and he wants to ensure people are not left without food!
Tescos give this driver a pay rise, he does so much for your image!

i drive for tesco and will agree i have been out every day i was at work have been stuck in the snow a few times but all my deliverys have made it only coment i have had is a custermer phoning to complaine i was late
