Hi...

I need to get a pay monthly sim only for a friend. Has to be pay monthly to sign up to the Friends Booster (only available to subscribe as list owner on pay monthly)

Only requires a few minutes / text per month.

I'm sure I saw somewhere someone got a deal for around a fiver - but I think that was a retention deal?

This will be a new sign up...

Thanks.

Glen.
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

  • Personally speaking you may do well to search on comparison sites (P4U / Omio etc)
I've seen that places like Voda / Orange do £10 & £15 pay monthly deals but never come accross a £5 one even as sim only (maybe not looking hard enough)

If you / your friend is spending that little would you be better with a PAYG? as some do some really good deals on inclusive minutes / free calls to mates when you top up xx amount - would that be comparable to a friends booster?
  • Hi Glen,

I managed to get a retention deal off T-Mobile for £5 per month for 12 months. 100 minutes plus unlimited texts.

Don't know what they would offer for new contracts, it's worth giving them a call though and explaining that it would be a low usage sim only contract.

    Good luck.

  • Oh - just went to the T-mobile site and typed in friends booster into their search function - am I right in understanding that they're like 'bolt ons'?...
Family booster Talk, text and share more with your nearest and dearest

Do you know someone in your family on a T-Mobile pay monthly T-Mobile account?
For just £5 per month, Combi, Flext and Solo customers can share unlimited* calls and texts between them and 4 others on T-Mobile - and this could include you!

If thats the case - looks like you can add them to PAYG's too...

Needs to be T-Mobile - I'm sure it was a deal that was offered 'offline' .. might be worth a call...

there are no £5/m deals for new customers. There is a no contract, pay monthly £10/m tariff called Solo 10.
  • I got offered a retention deal 300 Mins plus unlimited texts for £5 per month.before that I had been on a dialaphone cashback deal which came it at under a fiver a month (12 month contract)

What were you on before? A solo 30 day or 18 month contract?
