Orange Contract / Pay As You Go Question

I know this is a long shot, but wondered if anyone had any experience with this. I used to be on an 18 Month Orange contract which I let run for alomst 2 years without an upgrade, and instead, cancelled the contract all together but remained on Orange with a new number and Pay as You Go SIM.
My question is do you think if I rang them up saying I wanted to go back on contract with them and switch back from PAYG, will they give me a better offer than if I was a brand new contract customer? Like I said, highly unlikely but wondered if anyone else has had similar dealings with them. Thanks in advance.
