EDF price increases
I have just had a letter this morning and after speaking to them they have commented that it is due to the winter conditions and demand for gas - Im wondering if it is going to be across the board now with all energy companies and whether I should wait to change?

Well, the second link I provided,
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2191445
suggests that only a rise in tier 1 prices are involved, suggesting an increase in the standing charge element only."Now to trolling as a concept. .... yup, I also had the letter from EDF; I'm on online 6 (for leccy) and the overall increase is about 15% - I did a comparison recently which showed BG Websaver 5 slightly undercutting EDF's pre-increase prices so looks like it's time to change - nowadays any customer loyalty lasting more than a year(ish) seems naive in the extreme!0

be careful with the online comparison sites - I have just spent most of the day working it out and it looks like EDFs saver 5 beats my V2 tariff by £1000
