EDF Online v1 Tarrif increase
I got a nice suprise from EDF in the post today. They are changing the rates on the Online v1 Tarrif.
You have to love the sentence
As an EDF Energy customer on our Online V1 tarrif, you have been benefiting from one of our best deals for some time. But as with all good things, these prices are now coming to an end.
Looks like the electricty is now
First 225 KWhs charged at 19.23p
Subsequent units charged at 9.33p
For the Gas
First 670KWh charged at 7p
Subsequent units charged at 3.056p
From looking at my previous bills it looks like I was paying
Electric
First 232 units at 15.91p
Subsequent at 9.33p
Gas
First 690 at 5.3p
Susequent units at 3.056p
So of course I will be paying more. Not sure how they justify this rise at this time. I am also suprised by the notice period. The changes happen on January 15th right in the middle of a freezing Winter. very cynical.
Time to do an energy comparision I think
