..but would he not have fees for listing and paypal?
Not that im recommending it, it was just a gut reaction.
I find it so sick when ebay dont act on these reported listings, especially of this nature, when its pretending to represent a charity.
It would be his own fault if it ended up costing him more in fees than he makes from the listings.0 -
Hi, what reason do I use when trying to report the charity one trying to get feedback? There are quite a few and Im not sure which to pick from drop down.:smileyhea0

If I'm in the mood I report them for everything I think they can be considered breaching rules over. So I'll just go through the reports mechanism, report them for running a lottery, then maybe report them for whatever the next category that seems to fit is. Very often people who break one rule break lots and once you start reading all the report categories it is amazing what you can get them for.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hello the_computer_and_accessories_guy. Nice of you to turn up :rolleyes:You_are_all_idiots wrote: »Don't you see that this person is trying to do a good thing, now you say that this person is a scammer but the minimum donation amount is £1 so they are not profiting in any way and the listing is not misleading as it clearly says charity auction on the pic and title, it is definite that the money is going to charity because eBay confirms this.
Also about positive feedback, they deserve it as they are making money for a good cause and shows compassion and if you are against this don't donate and leave feedback.
If this person wants a lot of feedback I'm sure they can just buy 100 items for under £1 not much is it.
 All i have to say is that you people need to get a life and stop wining you sad pathetic little people.

Oh dear.
BTW your postage offered on your Blackberry (hmm, stock photo on a used item tsk) is not sufficient to protect you, you need to use special delivery.
You've got paypal enabled on a car :wall: Oh and offering a BIN with a phone number is sgainst the rules as it is fee circumnavigation and will get the listing pulled.
Your postage is wrong on the Radeon thingy as well, again you need special.
Can I suggest you actually read at least the most basic of ebay, paypal and Royal mail rules. You are looking a bit daft with your complete lack of understanding and you stand a good chance of being ripped off by someone .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi I have a nomination I was looking for a book a real book that you have to turn the pages by hand to read and I have come accross this seller selling the book I want.
Problem is it is on CD but I thought I might as well take a look at the seller and see what they are like and maybe report the listing as it is quite unlikely that they own the copyright on this book this is their about me page.
Just read all the legal stuff now I am quite sure they will not hold the copyright for the book I want but if I were to report this listing this is whay they say will happen to me and I quote "Any one found to be using a VeRO against us illegally will be reported to the auction site owners and the Police as this in UK law is deemed an actual threat, of which the maximum penalty is 3 months in prison or a £10,000 fine. As previously stated we hope that a message before hand would be enough, but we do hold the right to see your copyright, patent or other such legal paperwork as laid down in UK law. Failure to do so when requested in a case of copyright theft is also an illegal act and will be noted against you if any criminal proceedings take place.
Yes we have done my homework, and unfortunately there are some unscrupulous people out there who hope to get away with it with bullish tactics. But now the law is on our side and we are thank full for that, any way one of our children is a lawyer which helps somewhat."
I have never read anything like this on ebay in my life I have reported them and anyone who sells real books will probably do the same as they sell a lot of these books all on CD.
I must also add at this point that this is a Top rated scumbag who is trying to scare people from reporting their listings so they can sell other peoples work.
They also claim to give money to the Girl Guides but there is no evidence for this on thier account except for it being mentioned on their about me page.
It must be hard enough for people to sell books on ebay at the moment what with free postage and the like without scumbags like this breaking ebays rules and the law.
As far as I can tell this book The Book Of Thoth is no longer in copyright as it was originally an Egyptian text then copies by Aliester Crowley in 1948. Since then any copyrights on this have lapsed. A free copy can be downloaded from the Sacred Texts web site.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0 -
Searching 'charity' on ebay to see similar, and see if the H4H one really is kosher, I came across an odd one, looks like a lottery to 'win' the item, thats unusual, but no idea if its acceptable, just not come across it before!
Its a BIN and a 'massive' 10% of your £1.99 stake goes to 'charity'
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-Nintendo-DSI-black-charity-auction_W0QQitemZ170431079229QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_VideoGames_VideoGameConsoles_VideoGameConsoles?hash=item27ae7be33d
Any thoughts? Just doesnt seem right, how would anyone know if the prize was even won? Seems the connection to charity makes it more acceptable?0 -

Against the rules, so just report and save some poor naive bidder from their own foolishness.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Listen mate, as a member of HM Forces I can tell you we don't want idiots like you trying to "raise money" for H4H. Do one.0 -
He quotes that he gives 50% to charity and the other 50% goes to ebay and paypal fees, well ebay auctions starting 99p and under are free. Final value fees are something like 6% and paypal take about the same. So yes he is making a profit, work it out.
Pure evil to exploit a charity for his own personal gain.
