It's possible that the 'drop' for the outlet isn't enough to flush the water out and because ofthe slow flow, over a period of time the pipe has become gunged up solid.
Has it been slow flowing before this ?
In my last house we needed to replace the whole pipe, it was to solid with soap etc to clean.
You'll need to lift a floorboard.
First thing though check the traps, the wash basin should be easy to reach and some showers can be done from within the shower tray.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

sink i think is blocked because of the shower? but is easily checked
the shower basin/base is raised,,,,but the front panel is about 3" high and looks like it is stuck in place with 2 to 3 tubes of mastic:rolleyes:
will have to strip it and see,,,however just to help i have arthritis in my hands:cool:WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING

Get something called 'one stop drains' Ok so it isnt( something like that but cant remember the name) called that but you can get it from plumbers merchants. Its 95%acid so be careful but it will get rid of nearly all blocked waste pipes. Once it has unblocked the pipe run quite a bit of water through it to make sure you drain all the acid out as it may melt the wastepipe. It sinks but works a treat. Be careful not to get it onto ur bath or basin as it may tsain them. Use some sort of funnel so it go straight down the plughole0

Could try flexible curtain wire, the type used to hold up net curtains. Prod this down the drain (not too entusiastically). Then use washing soda crystals to clear the rest of the gunge. A hair trap placed over the plughole stops hair going down. The acid mentioned in previous post is great but rather dangerous. From memory its sulphuiric acid which is highly corrosive. Try putting a few drops on a lump of sugar to see the effect. Rubber gloves, goggles and old clothes are essential. Keep children well away.0

The yellow plastic bottle is sulphuric acid. Wont dissolve plastic toys or mobiles though.
