Afternoon people
Still considering going into town and still considering whether to drive... I have considered both options and have decided to stay in doors and let the cabin fever reign!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Afternoon all,
Today I have:
Had a nice sleep in
Phoned my nan with free minutes
Text my mum with free texts
Emailed a friend who lives abroad
Entered competitions
Looked for jobs
Got taken out for lunch
Spent £3.20 in Home Bargains on things I needed.
Dusted the house
Had a shower instead of bath
Seen to pets
Taken all rubbish out and bagged some as we have loads of rubbish due to no binmen for 3 weeks
Hope everyone has a nice Sunday :jNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
I went to church, so not an NSD,but am resisting walking to Aldi. Will instead box christmas decs etc for attic and make dinner from food lying around - I spent £464 on food for two adults last month
Just food at home and my lunches at work, no OH lunches or eating out in that.
My NY resolution is to use meal planning to reduce my supermarket spend. As my OH has diabetes, it affects what we buy and eat. I can't do hot stodgy puds or mash potatoes for example, so if I am not careful it is easy to waste food (and I am not careful - go look in my composter for evidence!).
Looking at how well we cleared our debt despite bad grocery shopping makes me think how much more we can save with better grocery management.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Today has been a NSD:beer:
Went for a walk in the park
Had lunch Chicken from freezer
Tidy the house
OH travelled back to course for the week so house to myself.0 -
I've put some baby stuff for sale on ebay.
And joined here! :j0 -
Hello all,
I am actually getting quite excited about the year ahead with regards my debtbusting. I spent most of yesterday on the snowball calculator - it told me I'd be debt free in September 2019 if I keep paying off £150pcm. Fortunately, I don't believe it's prediction! I am going to be able to pay the odd £10/20 off every now and then so I know my dfd will come (eventually).
The DFW thing I've done today is to order £30 of Argos and Tesco vouchers and arrange their sale for cash value so that will be paid to my debt. (Worked out that £20 paid now will save about £75 in interest).
Need to do my daily clicks and see if I have any surveys to do now.
Must check snowball calc again - I'm obsessed with it! Somebody slap me!

my dfw things for today that I can think of:
- Offered to take my mum to the shops as I was going anyway
- Used money off coupons
- River Island - Returned item and purchased it again so it also paid for the top I got yesterday and a really nice belt
- Will do piggy clicks later
- Washing done – hanging indoors
- Found £3.02
- Took my gas and electric readings and entered online
- Asked my mum to get me a lottery ticket tomorrow (I went to two different places and the machines were down). Fingers crossed I win a decent amount as I would like to give a big portion of it to my favourite cashier who told me her house has been repossessed
- Listed 2 new items and unsold items on Ebay
- Sold 8 Ebay items/ will invoice buyers
- Half taken down X’ms tree and decorations. Not feeling great so would prefer to sit in bed doing very little.
- Ironing done
- Kitchen drawers organised

Hi all, late one from me as Oh has been on the PC all evening. I'm ok thanks Milly, but now have a black and blue bum! Hope you keep improving, and that you get good news re your OP on Friday.
Been in most of the day apart from a quick supermarket trip and a visit to my Mum's. Have watched a film and played several rounds of Guess Who for free entertainment. Keep getting beaten by a 4 year old.
Today I also:
1) Won 20p and 50p on SCs which took me over £10 so I could withdraw.
2) Just bought some basics and veg at the supermarket so only spent £15.
3) Hokey cokey.
4) All meals from stores, including a naughty chocolate cake that I got in for Christmas.
5) Continued using up toileteries and did a recce of what I have in the cupboards to remind myself to keep clear of Boots tomorrow.
6) Cut MOCs out of local free paper.
Blimey, can't think of anything else as I have been very lazy today. Thanks for encouraging me re the Merlin pass Fay, I think I shall now go for it guilt free now I have a DFW blessing!
Here's hoping everyone can get about safely tomorrow, L x0
