T-mobile Sim card

I bought a T-mobile sim card from £1 shop and it states on the packet Unlimited FREE texts for 30 days. However, when I put the sim card in my phone and tried sending a text it won't send! I receive a message stating "sorry your text message service is currently unavailable due to insufficient funds. Please top up your account and try again".

Has anyone tried one?

It says on the packet:

From the moment you activate your T-Mobile Sim

* text any UK network as much as you like
* pay as you go, so you always know your spend
* Top ups last longer with T-Mobile's rewards and boosters.

Persumably as you have not topped it up, there are no free texts for 30 days.

It doesn't state that unless that's what it means by "From the moment you activate your T-mobile SIM.

Unlimited FREE texts for 30 days.

So doesn't say you have to top up before you can use the free texts?

I hoped it was like the Virgin Liberty Sim which you were able to use without any initial top-up.

May pop into the local store and ask them, LOL.
