Old idtv not compatible with new digital can I use a new stb with it?

Am thinking of buying a panasonic tx-32dt2 with idtv but have heard that it wont work after digital change-over.
Does any-one know if I can use a set top box with it instead?
Has anyone knowledge of whether these are good tvs?

It will work after digital changeover, it has an inbuilt digital tuner, in fact it seems to have 2 of them.

Yes you will be able to use an external set top box when after digital switchover.

The only models that cannot cope with switchover are TX-28DT2 and TX-32DT2 (regardless of software version installed), the latest (and last) version is 3.5.

You can use a digital box or virgin/sky etc as it uses the tvs scart socket
