Quicken 5 doesn't work on it, hence why I moved to Moneydance. Having said that it is about 15 years old, Win 3.11 probably! ;)

I just moved 15 years of data over from Quicken 5. It works well.

    Seconded :-)

Microsoft Money works here with no issues on 64bit Windows 7 so I guess it's because MS have stopped supporting the online functions of the program (I haven't found a single application that doesn't work on it in fact, no need to spread FUD about Windows 7 causing 32bit applications to glitch!).

Well i'm sorry to contradict you but there's issues in a lot of places in that regards, admit i've not looked lately but when Vista came out there was a lot of issues regards running softwares on it, actually and seems similar with Win 7 and the 64bit issues are a fact to your opinion.

Which is why they have the compatibility correctly mentioned by Altarf.

Glad it's all working for you but that isn't everybody's experience.

It isn't spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt at all, if you bother to go check with the rest of the planet.

Try Neowin or other technical forums and platforms, for instance, check how many people do have software compatibility issues.

And i wasn't saying for definate it was, simply raising possibilities, you know, what forums are about when it comes to issues, why people post.

It's called discussing things. About spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt, is that really what you consider my input is, get a life will you.

It likely is an online issue because MS have discontinued, but exploring what it could be is not spreading FUD and it may not be any online issue, OP's experience could be several things, what i've said included.

There's a lot of expression fascists on here, trolling is alive and well on moneysavingexpert.

Shall we all shut up because you think everybody else is wrong heloid?

I mean it could well be a malware problem or driver errors or many things, until OP comes back and expands on things, tries suggested resolutions and gets back on them, it's all conjecture and supposition really, isn't it.

Is your PC 32bit or 64bit, 32bit app's hate 64bit machines and op' systems, that's well known?

What a load of rubbish. Let me see, how many of my applications are 64-bit? Not many. MS Money, MS Office, games, Firefox etc. etc. etc. all run fine. Your last post states that you last looked pretty much when Vista was released, yes there were a load more issues then but across both 32 and 64-bit OS.

Compatibility mode is nothing to do with 64-bit operating system, some apps require compatibility mode even when running on Win7 32-bit.

I have read your words and will take on board what you have said but I think we're going to have to agree to disagree because I have no intention of replying further. I have a gift of knowledge from you, thank you.

The only limitation that a 64bit operating system has with regard to 32bit code is with drivers (you cannot use 32bit hardware drivers on a 64bit operating system).

32bit applications can and will run on a 64bit OS, they simply do not benefit from the additional memory space available (>4GB). There is no compatibility issue.

Compatibility mode is to do with how an application uses features of the operating system. i.e. Windows LIve Messenger on Windows 7 has additional features. Set it to Vista compat mode and you lose those features. One of those features is how it uses the task bar/system tray.

Yada yada yada, and another one, so what's your point, that's basically what i said and your making it as though i've said something different in quoting one line and you even contradict yourself trying to prove a point which doesn't exist in your second paragraph, pointless contradiction which cancels itself out, how dim are you.

Listen pal, get you facts striaght, i'm not wrong in raising the possibility mentioned and your just blowing off at me to score points at my expense.

What, this a secondary account, has somebody else who's been on my case got you to sign in your rarely used account, all of 23 posts in 4 years, you're posting from, whatever
