Best PAYG internet (nexus ordered)

Hi,
I've ordered my Nexus One and am trying to find out the cheapest PAYG internet package.

The problem is I'm not really sure how much data I'd use each month yet. I won't be calling or texting from it much (I have a work phone for that!), but will be playing on the net a fair amount.

Currently I'm leaning towards 3's 150mb for 90 days with any topup... but am a little worried on the coverage stories etc.

Thanks for any advice!

    Ofcom maps show that Three and Orange have the largest 3G networks, however you'll need more than 50MB per month for an Android phone owing to the constantly connected internet (I know because I use around 300MB per month on my smartphone).

    Have you considered one of the one month SIM only deals for it? Something like Three's £15 one with 300 mins, unlim texts, 3-to-3 and internet? That'd suit your needs more, because you'll know you won't go over the internet access requirements of the device.
    Hope that helps,

    Mark

    Full Disclosure If this is a mobile phone related post, I'd like to disclose that I currently work for Three retail but any posts I make are my own, and not endorsed by the company in any way. I use this forum in a private capacity.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I was actually on webchat with one of the 3 guys earlier... not overly helpful I'm afraid.

    Looking at it I think the best I can do is the tesco £2 a week deal. Since they match the top up... it works out £1 a week for unlimited which should suit me!

    how about giffgaff?

    their data is free until the 25th of may

    fair usage of 100mb per day. they won't charge you if you go over this, but will give you a few warnings before cutting your internet off.

    It doesn't say on the Tesco website but fair usage is only 50MB per week then it's £4 per MB. BEWARE.

    Fair Usage Policy
    We may impose an upper limit on the amount of browsing that can be used as part of the Unlimited Browsing Pass. Any such limit will be clearly set out on https://www.tescomobile.com or in any marketing materials and will only be imposed to prevent atypical use and/or abuse.
    Unlimited GPRS Data Browsing is subject to the following fair usage policy which includes, but is not limited to use by you (or any third party permitted by you):
    (i) of the Tesco Mobile Network for commercial purposes;
    (ii) which we reasonably believe adversely impacts the service of other customers or may adversely affect the Network; and
    (iii) which we reasonably believe excessively or continually exceeds any upper limit which is imposed.
    We reserve the right to monitor your usage and, if we reasonably determine that your use is abusive or in breach of our fair usage policy, we may do any or all of the following:
    (i) request you to moderate your use;
    (ii) impose further charges in respect of your atypical or abusive use; or
    (iii) suspend or withdraw your access to the Unlimited Browsing Pass.
    Where abuse or breach is suspected, we will endeavour to contact you before taking action in accordance with paragraph 13. In the case of severe abuse, as reasonably determined by us, we reserve the right to suspend your use of the Tesco Mobile Pay As You Go service, having attempted to contact you first.

    Not sure how they'd enforce that then!
    There's also a thread on the mobiles part about people going much over 50mb...
    I've just ordered a giffgaff as well to be sure.
