I am glad to hear you are doing so well :)

If however, you don't feel comfortable discussing the full extent of your problems with one particular person you can always ask to see someone else :)

Don't inform DLA, I think you are probably still entitled to it from what you say.

Doing the Law degree cources. Love the OU so good. Rich history also, watch a T.V. show regarding 40 years of the OU.

Yeah I shall be leaving the D.L.A. as it is. Probably best

Oooohh, which ones? I've just completed W100 and about to start W200.

Re CPN's, I chucked one out of my house once....she sat there and said "I think you are doing really well" in a very patronising voice, my reply "If I am doing really well, what the F are you doing in my house!"
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Hi Bryando, glad to hera things are going better. Please consider though that things might have improved because of the extra support you have been getting.

I'm just starting the W100 on Feb. Got my ECA for Y166 to do by the 15th. I don't expect much from having a LLB, but hey! Was accepted into Strathclyde Uni year ago roughly for Law. Decided not best due to heaqlth. So decided OU. Plan is to go back to Strathclyde Uni after getting my LLB via OU and do the LLB Scottish Law. The conversion. I don't hold a single Higher to my name, yet got told my knowledge is that of a 2nd year student. Raised my spirts that did.

Thats' the thing re me. My needs vary. For example right this moment the voices are bad. Yet early on were fine.

DLA have NEVER approached cpn etc. They always say on the form, that they used the information I provided.

Yeah some CPNs are a nightmare. Head in books, bum in the air!! School, Uni then bang doing the job.

I fully accept my health past and present will stop me doing what I want. FACT. No law society meeting/panel would allow me to practice. don't blame them.

Good luck with the course Bryando, I enjoyed W100 although it got a little stressful at times...thankfully, I passed it (much to my absolute amazement!).

I'm doing science and music technology courses at the moment, I'm impressed by anyone studying law!

I did music technology with the OU a few years ago.
Might look at doing something else with them. *goes off to look*.

I feel the same as you. I'm paranoid as it is but since claiming DLA and free bus pass my paranoia has increased. I did phone the DLA office a few months back and said that I was getting out quite a bit and that I felt my claim needed reassessing. However, I was told that as I went out out of necessity (have young daughter) then my claim was OK. Still don't think that I deserve it though.
I would talk over your claim with your CPN. They should know about it. Consultant psychiatrist would know about your DLA as they would have been contacted by the DLA office during your claim.

Thats just the thing. DLA just use the information on the form. It says on the decision letter. I provided enough information.

The same for my first application. Made it and was granted and from what I can remember it was the same. The decision letter stated the information I gave was enough for them to go on.

Bryando don't think the CPN's like me either. Know what you mean about improving, my meds are calming the voices but not the rest of it, not the stuff no-one seems to care about but i know for a fact its there and that it's true. Know in a way im not really getting better and im just deluded as i still cant do much alone

You're very lucky to have a CPN, many who need one don't get one. I myself am doing really well & have one, they do visit through good & bad times & I think it's disgusting you 'kicked one out'
