I am trying to list a DVD on eBay and it is telling me that the "P&P cost in this category can't be more than £0.00" !!! Thats ridiculous, when did this start??

im sure its been this way for almost a year now?! tried looking on ebay but they removed the announcement i think, says page unavailable!! was posted on here somewhere that it took effect on 27th january 2009.
you can start higher to cover the cost of the postage though, so if you were going to start at 0.99 originally, add say £1.50 and start at £2.49.
will only be an insertion fee on 10p, and if its a good dvd it might sell for quite a bit anyway!!
need to weigh up whether its worth the 10p i guess
good luck with the auction!A good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A0 -

After the free insertion offer ends later this month you could always try Amazon for Cds and books.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've just logged out of ebay but I think it runs until something like the 25th January, although please check rather than take my word for it.
After that the free insertion will revert back to items listed at 99p or less for private sellers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi, can i just ask, is this for all books? i;ve seen a cook book with a starting price of 50p but the seller is asking for £19.50 postage. someone has asked if this is a mistake and theire reply was:
A: Hi The book was an unwanted Christmas present and the flyleaf shows a value of £30. However I did not wish to pay for re-listing if the item does not sell. Thank you for your interest.
is this allowed with the new rules? i'd happily pay more for the book than 50p, but refuse to pay that much postage!
thanks0
