O2 iphone contract - help!!

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice.
I took out an iphone for myself and my husband on an 18 month contract on 12th december. I have had nothing but problems with it, have had to restore it twice and go in to the o2 shop a few times, add to that the fact that i find the i phone horrendous to use and not as good as i thought.
Anyway - my main complaint is that when i went onto i tunes to restore, it 'synched' my phone and then put EVERTHING from my phone and my husbands phone onto my phone even tho i was logged in to my i tunes account! Even if i delete them off which takes ages as soon as i plug it in again they all go back on!
It makes it so hard to use, not only does it double my memory usage, i also have to trail through all his contacts / appts etc etc to find my own! I tought it was something i was doing wrong but when i rang o2 i phone support they said that its unavoidable and the only way to avoid it is to only have 1 i phone per pc!!! That just seems ridiculous to me!
I want to cancel this contract as i feel they have mis sold this to me, they knew i was taking 2 phones and i feel they should have told me this would be the case, why on earth would i want all mine and my husbands data on my phone??
I spoke to o2 and they said that there is nothing they can do, i cant cancel, change phones or anything as im tied into this 18mth contract! I was perfectly happy to stay with o2.
Can anyone give me any advice, is there anything i can do about this??
Many thanks for any help

Restore it, and when it gets to the end of the restore, it should come up with to options:
1) Restore as a new iPhone
2) Restore from a backup of a previous iPhone (you can then select your iPhone)
Set your iPhone to manually manage rather than automatically sync. Then you can choose which data to bring over.0 -

I did ask about that but he said u you cant pick and choose contacts apparantly as these arent stored on itunes they come from the pc or something?? You can choose apps and stuff like that but not contacts!0 -
The contacts come from the backup of your iPhone unless you have them stored in Windows Mail or Outlook and sync from there. So just restore as a new iPhone, set to manually manage and then add your contacts. Back up the iPhone straight away and then it is your iPhone and your contacts only in the backup for future if you have problems.0

Daft as it sounds most families have a PC for each person, especially as laptops for kids are cheap.
When you use the PC do you use seperate accounts or just all in the same account? If you use the same account then iTunes may not be able to tell who's details are who's when they get synced with Outlook, whereas with seperate aco!!!! each outlook file is held seperatly and not accessable to the other person a easily.0 -
You don't need more than one computer to look after 2 iphones. Just create a new user account in windows (when you switch on the computer you choose between you, other half, kids etc) Once you're logged onto your account open itunes and now you can setup itunes with your music and apps then it's only your stuff that will be synced onto your iphone.Hardcore moneysaver0

lufcgirl is right, it really is that simple, tick the option to manually manage and you can sync as many iPhones as you want individually on the same PC in the same user name.
A quick google shows there are plenty of guides and posts that explain in detailResults 1 - 10 of about 142,000,000 for 2 iphones on 1 computer. (0.29 seconds)====0 -
I did like it after trying it in the shop and having a go with someone else butu after using it for a couple of weeks its a nuisance bulky thing to use!0

If you don't like the phone I'm sure someone on here would give you 50 quid for it

You can sell the iPhone on ebay and either buy something else the same way or buy yourself out of you contract.0

you could make an appointment at the genius bar in your local apple store and its free and they could answer your questions and replace the phone if its faulty in any way.(i did this and found them to be excellent)0
