I've done going on for 4000 or maybe more and biggest thing I've won so far is a cardboard pop up bar still awaiting and other stuff is a Cliff Richard cd (recieved), John Smith shirts (3) and still awaiting, dog disc (recieved), St Helier t-shirt.

It can be hard seeing others winning but I keep saying my time will come and if we dont first succeed then try and try again (sat praying and got everything crossed for a decent win as my car broke down last week)

  • 2 years now and not a single big or even biggish win. I enter as much as I can only slipping back if we go away. When I read what others win I always ask how they do it. I am happy with my small wins but wish for better luck too.

I find it easier to enter them all by hand (not using roboform), I also enter things that maybe I don't want to win but would find a good home for if I did win it x
  • Yeah I definately do that, think you can alwyas ebay it or gift it!

I think it really depends on how many you enter per day. Some days I enter 200+, other days not so much. I think you just got to keep at it. Some people say it also may have something to do with your email address, and quite a few people have noticed major differences when they've changed email addresses. [Perhaps something you may want to consider] Also broaden your entries.

I also find it easier entering everything manually, rather than using roboform. I'm still waiting for my first decent win on 2010, so fingers crossed for that and fingers crossed for you.

I think also alot of people enter postal, phone and text comps, not just online ones, I was thinking the same, but now the comps I have entered in the last few months are starting to end and the wins are trickling in, but I do enter about 200-300 a day!

    200-300 a day! WOW

I had an amazingly lucky year when I started comping in 2008 ... nowhere near as good last year (though still a few good wins icon7.gif). Just purely down to luck I'm afraid, combined with of course the number of comps. you enter. ... you have to be in it to win it ;)

One thing's for sure ... a win (hopefully big) is bound to happen eventually for you. I normally find I go months without a win, then get a few together (a bit like buses ). The pure nature of comping though means that some peeps will be "luckier" than others, but your luck could change at any time, that's half the fun!

I just try not to think about "how many wins I'll have this year", though of course it's great to have things arrive in the post. When you look at how the site has grown and how many peeps now frequent the comping forum, I'm amazed if I win anything icon4.gif

Just try and relax a bit more about it, enjoy the camaraderie and I'm sure the wins will start soon.

Good luck and many many thanks to all the great people on here, especially those who regular post comps. :A
