• Is the DUP going to force Robinson to resign as FM?

Speaking to UTV, DUP environment minister Edwin Poots said party members had been "shocked" by the revelations.
"We will have to meet as a team and look at the implications", he said.
"Iris has done things that are clearly wrong. That's something that can't be undone. I expect there will be a response from the party on it."
"She hurt her family and people who have supported her and who have supported views that she expressed."
"In many respects, Peter is a victim in this. But he was aware money changed hands and he should have reported that to the House of Commons."

That last sentence looks like it's a strong possibility.

Interesting and all as some may find this thread, will someone please explain to me what the hec all this has to do with "money saving". Alleged financial irregularity, very possibly, but how is any of this supposed to save consumers money? Is that not what this site is supposed to be all about. The clue is in the name. Politics should play no part. Is no-one out there monitoring this site to ensure that contributors stick to the groundrules. There are plenty of other blogs out there for expressing views on current affairs.....................but then i am forgetting............this is 'good ole norn irn' isn't it?

Wind your neck in! It has been discussed for a very long time about the Northern Ireland board having a relevant sub board to discuss such topics, instead of threads being moved to DT where alot of user's of the site either don't use or don't know about.

Why bother to read the thread and comment if you have no interest - surely you can tell by the title if it's money saving or not, or simply hover over the title and you'll get the jist therefore enabling you to ignore and move onto something you are more interested in!

In addition our moderator does a very good job in the NI board to keep things on track, maybe you should volunteer yourself and see how you get on.

Edited to also include this LINK- handy for all to read in relation to non ms posts

Righteo......OUR money pays these people to run OUR country, We arent getting good value for OUR money. Martin himself took on the BANKS in financial irregularity......So politics does/can play a part!

These people were raking in just over a half a million quid from OUR coffers, not very :money:....

Just to clarify, we are NOT moderators. We are volunteer board guides ;)

As you can see from Martins explaination in the rules section.
BOARD GUIDES

The Board Guides are site users who have volunteered to help keep the forum running smoothly. (Read what Board Guides have been asked to do HERE)

If you’ve seen a thread you think should be merged or deleted because it’s been duplicated (we prefer not to have threads duplicated on the boards as this creates confusion) send a pm to the relevant Board Guide. You can see who the Board Guides are at the bottom of each board or on the Board Guide list.

Please remember the Board Guides are only doing what Martin’s asked them to do. They do an excellent job of keeping the forum wheels turning but are not responsible for the site. Do not expect them to deal with any type of abuse issue.

If you have a question about actions a Board Guide has taken first read these Forum Rules, which explain why most of the actions are taken. If you’ve read the Board Guide note and the Site Rules and you’re still unsure why a particular action has been taken please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

If you ever feel a Board Guide has said/done something that needs to be reported please report it as you would any other site user’s post/pm to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

What amazes me is that Spotlight have been working on this story since November (at least) - how did they manage to keep it under wraps (in this country) for so long? I applaud them :T:T:T

And her hospital admittance after her attempted sucide, how did that not get out either. This is such a small place to keep that quite.
Also a household with an income of over £500,000 and she asked for a £5000 payment to clear some debts, very strange.
Maybe ture what they say about "ultimate power"
