Loved the comment from the adviser.
Iris took an overdose and Peter went off to Stormont as usual.:D
They are both accountable for lying and getting their fingers in money pies and covering their asses when the sh*t hit the fan. Back handers for letting the developers build where they wanted and !!!! the rules on green belts.
The papers have been saying power sharing was dead as the DUP and SF have been fighting and cannot come to an agreement. And big Gordie is bored with it all now.

I really think this program has only scratched the surface. What with the Paisleys getting involved with Property Developers, now the "Robinsons" too.
Rev William McCrea apparently has pledgerised/pinched someones song God knows what the rest of them are at.... They are all in it for the money... to say they are doing it for the people is a load of cr*p in my view.... maybe they were once upon a time.. but now its all for self gain..... the fact she took (Allegidly) £5000 in cash back from the "Donation"..... what a fraudster....
Something tells me this whole Mental health issues thing is a smoke screen so people will feel sorry for her and may go easy n her when it comes to her being investigated.... the full rigours of the law should be brought upon her..0 -

I agree fully - I think Iris needs to be very careful not to jump on the depression bandwagon, I think she's using it as an excuse.
She disgusts me - if this was a 59yr old man with a 19yr old girl we'd be calling him a dirty old git, I never understood that if the woman was older it was ok.
To me it's as bad as grooming, she's known him since he was a kid and to me took advantage of him at a difficult time in his life, for her own financial gain!
He's just a stupid fool who saw the pound signs, and heavy weight mover and shaker and thought he'd made it.
I can understand Peter's reactions - his first reaction was to protect his wife and family, and regardless of his job, I think it's the first reaction we all would have had. We all protect our own first and foremost (within reason)0 -
I'm relieved you said that Cathy, to be honest the bit that I thought was the worst in the whole programme was that IR ended up having a totally inappropriate relationship with a boy she'd referred to as like another son. I thought it was pretty creepy and if it was Peter (or indeed Martin
) rather than her doing that there would be a moral outrage about it. Especially since his dying father had specifically asked her to act in loco parentis. I also thought the boy himself came across as quite young even now and was quite concerned that it had been a relationship that really was an abuse of power.
The main thing that struck me though, and this is about both her and Peter, was their arrogance in how they behaved - her worse than him but he also was unable to see past his own pride and do the right thing. I do think Peter has learned from this though - his TV appearance was agonised humility to me - but the fact that she's hiding out suggests that she still hasn't.
I'm hoping this doesn't bring him down though, I have a feeling that he will be a much much better first minister after this - a dose of humility and compassion is important for people in high office and I think he's certainly had his medicine.0 -
End of Iris
End of Peter
End of Powersharing
i seriously hope its not the end of power sharing, this country doesnt need to descend into more violence because of an affair no matter the status of those involved!belfastgirl23 wrote: »I'm hoping this doesn't bring him down though, I have a feeling that he will be a much much better first minister after this - a dose of humility and compassion is important for people in high office and I think he's certainly had his medicine.

Just also wondering if Iris is renting the apartment she has been living in(since last year), in Comber rented from a property developer?
Also wondering if they ever got planning permission for building another house in their back garden???
