Thank you to all your posters on this thread. Made a trip to my local M&S this morning.

got 1x Lamb Shoulder should have been 6.53
1x Line caught smoked haddock should have been 5.89
and x1 Beef roasting joint which should have been 5.50

Just one question. I did look around the store to see if any other meats or fish were on offer. Found gammon and pork belly but no signs. Would these of been in the offer at all as I love them????

    Thanks

A lot of the products will now no longer have stickers on them to say there in the deal because they have a sell by dates after the deal finishes. But there should still be price tickets on the shelf to indicate whats included. Last time I looked the pork belly with soy sauce was in the deal though. If it doubt ask an asssitant they should be able to tell you whats included or be able to find out for you.

I am here to publicly eat my words

I spent ages today getting 2 £10 meal deals and 3 for £10 meat offer, and ensuring the total of the individual item came to more than £50
Queues were massive, but thought it would be worth the effort.
SA refused the £10 voucher and said I had not spent £50.
I confidently informed her...oh it is ok, it worked last week, she said:-
"Oh we know, and it would work now, but we are no longer allowing you to use this voucher unless the total bill is over £50 to pay after the offers have been taken off. "
I did try and reason with her, but she was having none of it.
Presume it was not her fault if that is what the bosses have instructed staff, but surely if their tills accept it, it should be ok ?
Assume M&S bad results mean they are going to tighten up on any gliches
So TOB could only use the £5 voucher.

I know it is still a good deal, but still very disappointed as I was really looking forward to double-discounts:cool:
I have a shoulder of lamb in the oven 'slow-roasting', so hopefully eating that later tonight will cheer me up a bit;)

I think most people know this is a double deal and is not what was intended when these vouchers where produced. One of the results of having a popular forum like this is that customers pick up on things fast. Unfortunatley retailers also pick up on it fast when they see huge amounts of vouchers redeemed against sales lower than was intended. I would think M&S simply reminded stores of what they should have been doing since the start.
People may still get lucky though, its surprising what goes through tills in error. But it will be the result of a sales persons mistake not something a customer has the right to have.
Still we have all had nearly a month of getting extra money off and already great deal.

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim here, but if you got 3x £10 deals and 2 x the dine ins, that = £50? did that not entitle you to the £10 voucher off a £50 spend?
Only asking because tomorow I plan to get 2 x the dine in for a tenner =£20 then spend £5 on something else =£25 and use a £5 off voucher, will this qualify for the use of a £5 voucher?
    thanks

The Old Bag bought 2 dine in's =£20
and 1 3 for £10 meats = £10, but it would have come to more than £50 before the offers kicked in and the £10 voucher would have worked.
Your voucher will work on what you said you are going to buy.;)

I have to say I have had no problems with using these £5 vouchers after I did a test shop to find that the final total could come to less than the £25.

I have now used my last £5, having used 7 on shops which everyone came to less than the required £25 spend.

Only on one shop it got queried and a supervisor just waved it through saying that they (M&S) had messed up with it and even got an apology for being kept waiting.

I used my last fiver today with another 2 of the slow roast lambs ( have 5 in the freezer now) and a chicken and also got the frozen salmon fillet portion bags that someone mentioned earlier which are £8.49 and on bogof, so my after discount total was only £18.49, handed over the £5 voucher and was scanned without a second look leaving me £13.49 to pay :j

I have made the most of this meat offer and my two freezers are now well and truly full.

I had a £249.99 credit note in November which got used on lovely Christmas food and wine, then having this great 3 for £10 offer and the £5 vouchers has extended my shopping there

I also used 2 of the £5 vouchers in tesco.

But I wont be shopping in M&S regularly anymore, they have had my custom for a couple of months, the food looks great but even with the offers, I still need something like a spend and save coupon and glitch to draw me back again.

Thank you M&S for our brief relationship!

I won't be buying too much in M & S either for some time to come. Got to wade through all that food in my freezer! It'll take weeks.
  • having had my £5 coupon refused last week:mad: I tried my luck again this week in the same store with the same SA - she called the manager over who said as long as it scanned then it was fine - I got £68 worth of shopping for £30.08 with a £10 MOC;) Thank You M&S, I was shopping there prior to the coupons as I feel the quality of the food is much better than other supermarkets but I just hope they bring out some more coupons to make it even more appealing!:D
  • What chicken is included? is it a whole small one, or something else?

Yes, it's the whole small chickens that are included in the 3for£10 offer.
As an aside, I noticed that the most recent "medium" chickens included in the dine-in offer seemed to be smaller than my "small" chicken!
