I went yesterday, bought 2 x 10pound deals and a couple of other items total to pay came to 23pound, gave in voucher and lady said you havent spent 25pound, i just told her that last week an m & s lady had told me they work on the pre discount amount and she looked doubtful but tried it and it worked, she then thanked me for letting her know!

    I do like the staff in M&S - "not just sa's - but M&S sa's" - a better class of staff:D
I often seem to time my visits ( by pure chance of course:p) when they are handing out sherry, port, asti and wine, plus choccies, biscuits and nachos etc.
Occasionally get free samples in Asda and Sainsbury, but never Tesco or Morrisons.

I can think of several stores were they would have resisted to the point of blatant refusal to even try the voucher, and if they had reluctantly tried it, would have scowled in disgust when it worked !
    Well done you acer :T

Anyone know what the 3rd feb deals will be? thanks

I don't think anyone from M&S can say without the risk of losing there jobs.

But anyone who has been into M&S over the last few months will know there recent deals have been very good. So don't be surprised if they have a few worth making a trip for.

I work in a supermarket but have been swaying more and more towards m and s, the food is so good you don't have to add tasty extras to make the food more appealing if you get my drift, tend to get the basics at work and cleaning stuff then the lush stuff at marks's

Looking forward to new deals Have the 5 quid deal in my oven at moment. Lamb, veg and sauce and smells fab. Like the deals on fresh meat and fish as I dont buy ready meals or anything.
    Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.

I want to go get the 3 for £10 meat offer

Can you tell me when it finishes?

Also - does more than one offer exist at the same time?

I see people talking about the meal deal offer - so they are both running together?

The 3 for £10 ends on the 2nd feb, the dine in for a £10 usually ends sunday, but I have noticed after the dine in for a tenner ends they tend to reduce the stuff to half price on the following days

yes, I think that's a great idea, because I quite often don't really want the pudding but have to get it. Popping into M&S on Monday mornings is useful for picking up the odd chicken.
  • Thank you to all your posters on this thread. Made a trip to my local M&S this morning.

got 1x Lamb Shoulder should have been 6.53
1x Line caught smoked haddock should have been 5.89
and x1 Beef roasting joint which should have been 5.50

Just one question. I did look around the store to see if any other meats or fish were on offer. Found gammon and pork belly but no signs. Would these of been in the offer at all as I love them????

    Thanks

I am here to publicly eat my words

I spent ages today getting 2 £10 meal deals and 3 for £10 meat offer, and ensuring the total of the individual item came to more than £50
Queues were massive, but thought it would be worth the effort.
SA refused the £10 voucher and said I had not spent £50.
I confidently informed her...oh it is ok, it worked last week, she said:-
"Oh we know, and it would work now, but we are no longer allowing you to use this voucher unless the total bill is over £50 to pay after the offers have been taken off. "
I did try and reason with her, but she was having none of it.
Presume it was not her fault if that is what the bosses have instructed staff, but surely if their tills accept it, it should be ok ?
Assume M&S bad results mean they are going to tighten up on any gliches
So TOB could only use the £5 voucher.

I know it is still a good deal, but still very disappointed as I was really looking forward to double-discounts:cool:
I have a shoulder of lamb in the oven 'slow-roasting', so hopefully eating that later tonight will cheer me up a bit;)
