Well it does take a certain mentality to spend £150 on pair of boots, If it was a pair of techincal mountaineering boots then fair enough but there not.0

£150 boots that get wrecked really easily & quickly, especially in this weatherhelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Here we go again - someone has a problem with manky customer service (Ok, I know she had no RIGHT to a refund but a company who had the slightest interest in preserving goodwill and their own reputation for good service would have used a bit more common sense on this one!) and a number of people take the opportunity to snipe or make unnecessarily unhelpful comments! Its nobody elses business how much she/her Mum spends on boots .
Clearly the companies Head Office were able to use a bit of commonsense and I'm glad the OP got a sensible result.ELITE 5:2

Good grief.
We all have different tastes when it comes to fashion, the OP came on here looking for advice not an opinion from that Gok fella.Forum spellcheckers are the pitts.0 -
I'm confused.
The Shop advised the OP's mum that Ugg did not make a size three. The OP's mum knew the daughter had a current pair of Ugg boots. So it's reasonable to think she doubted herself, but only under the influence of "professional" advise from the sales assistant.
Therefore I can see why the OP's mum may have been convinced she had misread the size on OP's current Ugg boots.
I think people need to understand that sometimes, we do bow down to what we believe to be other superior knowledge and doubt ourselves.
I know that the issues has been resolved now, but I hold the Sales assistant responsible for providing rubbish service and misinformation. Yes they could have, returned to the store after double checking their info, but the sales assistant played a contributory factor in the influence of the purchase. My farts hospitalize small children

Why not get the childs size 3 and buy something else with the difference in the credit note,
I dont see where your getting this big problem from.
or wait till your feet grow and you fit into them.
:hello: coo ee
Remember - No one can make you feel inferior without your consent
well i dont think you really helped in any way, i was simply asking for advice not your opinion on whether you think this is a big problem or not.
never mind!!
I gave you quite sound advice, buy the childrens size three and something else, you would have at least two things then. As istis you have 1 pair of boots and nothing else,
More advice was letting your feet grow into them.
You seem to have a problem in differentiating between the words advice and opinion.
With your ranting and raving attitude so bad that people dont understand you, you seem to have a problem full stop.
I'm gone now to people who appreciate and understand advice.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
i know i'll probably be lambasted for this, but if i was buying shoes for myself or for someone else like in this case, if i was after a size 3 and was told that for whatever reason they didn't have a 3, i wouldn't then go and buy a 4. clearly they're going to be too big!
Totally agree, I bought my daughter a pair of trainers for Christmas and had to order them online as the shop did not have her size.
I *think* the store is within its rights to offer a credit note.0 -
If you had picked up a size 4, and paid, you wouldn't have been entitled to a refund, if you merely changed your mind.
In this instance the store offered professional advice on the purchase.
Your mother asked for the correct size, but was professionally advised she was wrong, and that she should take a size 4, as that is the smallest size available.
As this was incorrect, and she was mis-advised, she should be entitled to a refund in this case.0 -
Another poster comes on here for absoluton for their misgivings and whoah, absolution is granted.
