Monday - lasagne with potato wedges

Tuesday - Bean and chorizo chilli with rice

Wednesday - falafel with pitta bread and salad

Thursday - spicy shepherds pie (using chilli) with mashed swede and carrot

Friday - spaghetti with bacon in a tomato sauce

Saturday - [STRIKE]homemade pizza, will decide on topping on the day but probably chorizo, pepper, cheese etc. Will have with wedges and salad[/STRIKE] had a very late lunch, so just had crackers for dinner

Sunday - [STRIKE]tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake[/STRIKE] changing this as was going to have the rest on Tuesday, but now going out. I will either make an omelette tonight, or have a kiev from the freezer instead

Two (kinda!) new recipes this week as will be making the bean chilli and then using the other recipe listed on the page to make shepherds pie.

I might make this for lunches during the week as looks very tasty!

Had to swap Tuesday and Wednesday as thought I was going the chilli tomorrow and by the time I realised my mistake i'd already chopped the chorizo and made the tomato sauce for it...oops.

Yikes, is it really that time of the week again already?!

Boodle - your meal plan sounds as lovely as ever. How do you make rogan puff parcels and Spanish butter beans, please? Both sound rather intriguing!

Norman Bean - could I have the recipe for pumpkin pomodore, please? That sounds rather nice, too. :)

My plan for next week is:

Friday - mushroom and talleggio parcels (this recipe, but with talleggio rather than goat's cheese as that's what I've got), with buttered green cabbage
Saturday - beef paprikash, with mash if I can get to the shops to buy potatoes, or crusty bread if I can't - no, it's not - I've just looked again at the recipe and it needs a red pepper, which I can't get to the shops to buy (it's like a giant ice rink out there today!). It will have to be a standard beef stew instead.
    Sunday - aubergine parmigiana
Monday - ham and cheese topped fish, with a jacket spud (if I've managed to acquire potatoes) and some sort of veg
Tuesday - Chinese-style pork kebabs (from the freezer, left over from a summer BBQ), with veg fried rice
Wednesday - tuna and pesto pasta bake
Thursday - aubergine and potato korma (I'm sure I'll be able to get potatoes by now...) with HM naan bread

Breakfasts will be porridge or cereal with fruit, lunches will be sandwiches and/or HM soup (variety TBA).

Have a good week everyone, and wrap up warm!
Back after a very long break!

Sorry for the delay CCP I've only just popped back to have a boggle at what everyone else is eating this week :o

Pumpkin Pomodore is a name I made up to make it sound more glamourous than it is but it does taste FANTASTIC.

It's spaghetti pasta or tagliatelle with a pasta sauce made from pumpkin cubes roasted in rosemary (we were given a HUGE pumpkin in October and I roasted half of it and froze in pomodore size portions).

Finely chop an onion and garlic - fry and soften in butter.
Splosh of white wine (if any dregs hanging around.)
Add egg yolks and massive dollop of cream.
Keep stirring then add your pumpkin cubes and warm throgh - is nicer if pumpkin gets mushed up a bit.
Mix into your cooked pasta and serve.

    Simples!

How do you do your naan breads? H needs to start making ours soon as supplies are running out. Thanks x

That's lovely - I do a similar one as we're still finishing up our stashed harvest of pumpkins, and they are beginning to deteriorate now. I find it a little on the sweet side though, so if I can, I add some cubed blue cheese to the sauce and also some fried mushrooms if I have them to vary the texture a little. Alternatively, cubed chorizo can balance the sweetness and give it some bite at the same time.

Hi all. Some fabulous sounding mealplans. I've had to jiggle ours a little but as we had a £128 vet bill earlier on in the week for our Labrador, who has picked up kennel cough

    We are having:

Monday - Potato Bake (made with leftover gammon from Sunday), Peas, Carrots, Yorkshire Puddings & Gravy

Tuesday - Chicken & Veg Curry, Rice & Flatbread

Wednesday - Fish Goujons, Wedges & Green Beans

    Thursday - Pasta Bake

Friday - Potato Hash & Yorkshire Puddings

Saturday - Minestrone Soup & Baguettes followed by Stewed Druit & Ice Cream

Sunday - Lunch: Roast Chicken, Roast Potatoes, Stuffing, Carrots,
    Broccoli & Gravy

Tea: Ham Sandwiches, Vegetable Crisps & Trifle

Breakfasts are Porridge or Wholemeal Toast and Fruit

Lunches are Soup, Pate & Toast, Leftovers or Beans/Egg on Toast

Snacks are Fruit, yoghurts, toast & I shall make a victoria sandwich cake, a lemon drizzle and some brownies with dates.

I am cooking everything except the baguettes as I bought some part baked ones last week.

Have a good week cooking everyone :D
