3 Hutchison 3G UK Not reporting my account to credit reference agencies

I opened my account with 3 Customer Services, Hutchison 3G UK Ltd 2nd December 2009 have had two bills December and January paid the first one by direct debit and the next one is due to go out of my account 21st January 2009.

Yet interestingly when I checked my credit files late December & again today no account information held!, why is this?

I read on here that they report to both experian and equifax within 30 days! no such luck for me my other accounts all show even a vodafone account which I took out same day & then cancelled within about a week.

Anyone else had this prob or know's who to contact to get it resolved?

I just emailed both experian and equifax to ask as when I rang 3 customer services I got some blanket head who didn't understand english.

When I asked orange, they said its upto them when and if they report and they generally only report if you don't pay. I wouldn't take anything on this website as gospel or advice as theres alot of people on here giving advice when they don't know themselves.

They'll report when they are good and ready.

It is optional for them to report to the agencies. As above if you fail to make the contractual payments they will sure fire up defaults and missed payments quickly as they kick up a fuss. All you can do is write to them, send an email explaining your credit file has not been updated with info from 3 and you would like it added and updated.

Cockywatchman, you might want to change how you speak about people ; blanket head is not exacty a nice term for someone.

Have you thought that this may be delayed by the spell of bad weather recently, maybe not all of the UK staff can get in - possibly the reporting dept.

I have 2 contracts with 3UK - one phone, one mobile broadband. Both are reported to all 3 agencies without fail every month. It can take 3 months to show up though initially, so just keep looking :)

Elf I shall speak to people how I like end of the day if I was indian ringing an indian company I too would be fustrated when their grasp of the language is poor. Absolute joke the number of UK companies who use Indian call centres.

Cheers Lee your advice is appreciated just a little worrying in this day & age when an account doesn't show within 5 weeks of opening it!.
