Play.com and BargainCrazy: Time from despatch to delivery?

    I have a feeling you're only covered by your credit card if the item you bought was over a certain amount (£50 or £100 I think).

    Personally I wouldn't claim on house insurance for a game, but it depends on how good your policy is ;)

    I only saw "XBox" but not "game" and didn't pay attention to the PayPal bit at all. Sorry.

    The limit for the credit card company's joint liability is £ 100 btw.

    Finally received my Play.com order today, 17 days after it being dispatched. Was losing hope of ever receiving it but I know the weather has been largely to blame.

    Hope the OP has finally received there's too?

    I ordered a dvd boxset from Play.com on 3 December. It was in stock. For some reason, they didn't despatch it until 18 December :mad: A couple of days ago, when it STILL had not arrived, I cancelled the order and got a refund.

    Ordered the same item from an Amazon Marketplace seller midweek, and it arrived 2 days later :)

  • I bought a pc game from Play which I returned because it was faulty only to receive a replacement which was also faulty, I believe. This was over a month ago and I have received nothing from them, no refund, no messages to tell me what if anything is happening - nothing!

    Does anyone know how to get in contact with Play.com? Apart from the 0845 number which is expensive to call, unless you're with BT, especially when they keep you on hold for ages. There is no customer service email and no postal address.

    Well, BargainCrazy turned up on 15/1, so 23 days from order to delivery.
    Play materialized on 18/1 which makes it 22 days from (alleged) despatch to delivery. However, according to HDNL tracking, they did not receive the item from Play until 12/1. I am unimpressed, Xmas or not, weather or no weather.
