Thursday 7th JanWhat small DFW thing have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning!
Today I:
- checked online banking and everything seems to be in the right place!
- am not leaving the house so hopefully a NSD but you never know with the joys of ebay being so easy and so near!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Today, I'm posting a book I sold, returning brand new, stickered CDs to HMV for a gift card (I'll be putting the money towards an iPod eventually) and used CDs to CEX for money as well as using a free day bus pass given to me ages ago by the job centre back when I was on JSA but never used the bus pass, but other than this I have to confess, I am having a pizza for dinner and a couple of pints at the pub with friends so it won't be that much of a DFW day here. It IS my first social outing this month/YEAR though, catching up with people I've not seen since Xmas.0

Morning all!
This morning is freeeezzzing!
Trip with uni to Nottingham is cancelled and I'm home again! I'm really really bored of it now - I haven't been to work/uni since before Xmas and you really can have too much of a good thing! With the snow and ice you can't really do anything or go anywhere and there's only so much cleaning, tidying and faffing you can do!
BORED BORED BORED!!!!
Anyway, today's little list...- Walk dog x3 for free exercise (done 1 and it was -8C - bonkers!)
- Hoover
- Make potato curry using up some manky spuds
- Do a bit of uni work
- Clean kitchen
- Maybe shovel some snow off the drive as more snow is forecast for tonight
- Do one load of washing and dry on radiators
- All food from home
- Chcek banks
- Update spending diary
- Write shopping list for when I can venture to the shops

Morning!
Brrrr, its cold out there! I made it into work again but am hoping we'll be sent home early like yesterday. I'm supposed to be sent to a court tomorrow (I work in a law firm - don't worry!) which is an hour away. I am reeeallly hoping I don't have to go as my boss says I won't have to if its snowy. I've got tickets for the theatre in the evening and just know that if I go it will take forever to get back and I'll miss the show...so come on snow!
Today I have/will:-- Checked online banking - done!
- Wrapped parcel for posting (Amazon sale) - done!
- Go to the post office on my lunch break
- Buy new crochet needle on lunchbreak to make hats to sell
- Make freezer surprise for dinner!

Morning all, this is my first foray into the daily chat thread. It always seems so friendly that I couldn't resist dipping my toe in so to speak! :hello:
It hasn't snowed as much here as expected, but our little corner in the south-east is sometimes lucky as far as weather goes! There's still plenty of the white stuff around though and I'm soooooo pleased I decided to have a couple of days off work now!! :j
Was hoping for a NSD, but as I took the precaution of cancelling the Ocado order, I guess I should haul my carcass out of bed and make the effort! My challenge however, will be to find the products I need at the cheapest price I can find. I managed this quite successfully yesterday and resulted in buying my vitamins 41p cheaper in Superdrug than Boots and 9 loo rolls for £2.49! :T
Anyhoo, today I will:- Source cheapy products (ha, not a chance!)
- [STRIKE]Create new email address for comps etc.[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Keep heating on ambient temperature (rather than whacking right up!)[/STRIKE]
- Have a de-clutter for sellable items
- Get some more fab tips from this forum!

Morning all. Well I wanted to have a 'stay and home wrapped up warm on the sofa' day today becuase of the dreadful snow, however my car is due it's MOT so I have to brave it!
Today I will/ have-
Checked bank account- no movement
Checked listing on e-bay- 2 bids already!
Put last 2 items on ebay and hunt for more
I do confess that I am going out for dinner and to book a holiday with the OH tonight, however accoring to my NSD rules as long as I only buy dinner (with my voucher of corse) then it's still a NSD as I budgeted for it. No desert though!
Have a good day all, stay safe in the snow

Hi! I'm in the SE too... we tend to miss most the snow, but have the best of the weather in the summer, so I guess its a bit of a balance! (wouldn't mind another couple of inches of snow though, then I could stay at home and play rather than look at it out my window!
Today, I have done some 'clicks' and brought lunch in from home!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
