Moved house and taking Talk Talk with me

My Talk Talk Broadband is going Live on Monday and i have not got the router that Talk Talk sent me when i was at old House so wanted to know can i buy any router from say argos and use that or would i need to buy one from Talk Talk?

Also would i need to put any Talk talk settings into the router if i got one from say Argos? if so where would i get the settings from?

If i did go back to old house as its still empty and picked up the old Talk Talk router would i be able to use the same settings as i had before? so all i would have to do is just plug it into new phone line and off i go??

Any ADSL modem/router will work on the TT broadband service. If you can retrieve your old router it should work with the existing settings assuming you are still using the original account usernname and password.
If you buy a new router you need a modem/router for ADSL service (not a cable router) and you will have to enter the settings manually into the router's web interface-these will be with the documentation from when you set the account up.
Bear in mind that TT will only support router models that they themselves supply, so if you buy an unsupported model, you are on your own re tech support (no great loss there though).
