Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Champagne and chocolate sounds fabulous Lexxi
dont know if you have chosen a cake yet but M&S do a great looking 3 tier chocolate cake covered with chocolate roses. They have it in chocolate colour or theres a white chocolate covered option if you want a more traditional looking cake but with the scrummy chocolate cake inside.
If my MIL hadnt made my wedding cake this was one of my favourites to buy.

Well we're still planning so its not 100% confirmed yet, but we've decided to go with a deep red/burgendy colour. We initially picked the colour because my H2B spotted a gorgeous cravat in that colour when at a wedding fayre and fell in love with it. And when I checked with my bridesmaid she was happy with the colour saying red really suits her :-)

most of the things on this board we have except the flowergirl dress and have yet to order bridesmaid dresses, im going to try to make this bouquet(well similar with no cream buttons in it)
  • Good choice Lexxi - my sister had cream, chocolate brown and gold as her colours when she got married in early December, as she wanted warm colours but nothing too Christmassy. If you want to do your own invites my mum got all her ribbons and card from Hobbycraft when she made my sister's wedding invites.

Effing men wouldn't notice, call it dusky or pastel

Minerva, thanks for the tip on hobby craft, I picked up the cards and enveloped for £24 today and worked out the ribbon would cost £11 for all the cards so I'm going to shop around a little

That cake does look lovely, I'm not allowed an all chocolate one cos he thinks I'll eat it all lol. I think I'm going with cakes unlimited as they have a bargain range and will do different flavours for the tiers

There are some reallly nice dresses on ebay kildare, one of the first I looked at had lovely burgandy detailing to the train

Would you belive it is cheaper than the M&S cake, but only serves 90, not bad for £110 though!
