ex wants portion of child benefit

To follow on about the ex who used to complain to daughter about how I was crippling him through child support.......
I found myself having to defend myself!(!!!) and this is how I did it:
I got some currants from my baking cupboard;
Counted out HIS income (each currant represented £100)
Counted out MY income (each currant represented £100)
He had a mountain of currants - I had a little pile...
I slid the child support in 'currants' out of his pile and into my 'pile'.
And Voila! It was plain to see to a little girl that Dad had SO much, Mum had so little. She never asked me again to stop taking money from her Dad!
I also had the vile poisoning about my partner (from the ex) and the children bought it when they were young, when their Dad was 'amazing'. He isn't so amazing now, and they all think my partner is fantastic (steady and reliable - unlike dad)
Don't give up - keep your chin up and you will come out ahead of your ex-s bitterness.0 -
Thanks Hardball, appreciate it. Like the currant idea too.....0
