i have found over the past week or so since weather has got colder, my computer does not start when i press button. i have to continuously keep on pressing it for up to about 30mins before it starts without switching off again.
could it be because the computer gets cold or would it be a fault with the pc?
any advice appreciated.
thanks

Unless you have it near a window, outside door, air vent i dont see how cold has anything to do with it. It's not like it runs on a battery once it dies it wont start

is the computer clogged up with dust?
if not, then it might be a problem with the internal sensors on the circuit boards0 -
It sounds more like a fault - is this a desktop PC or a laptop?
Once you have it running it would be a good time to make sure your backups are fully up to date

it is actually near a window, and i have unplugged everything from it today and placed it infront of gas fire to warm it up . and it did seem to work quicker after i had warmed it up.Nice to save.0 -

Hmm, might be a slow PSU or the M/B. Difficulty to test without spares to hand, swapping parts.0
