Hi,If I go on the mobile web / o2 active on purpose or accidently I understand I will be charged £3 per MB or "£1" max daily (fair use)(or if opt for £7.50 bolt on, tc's seem to relate to payg)

Q. What is the fair use policy ???

If I use maps / Sat Nav location it goes online unless I take the phone offline -
Q. How much it is likely to cost?? Can I make it to ask me to go online any other way ???

It says something about enabling Javascript?? Any idea??

I have updated the maps app and downloaded the free England maps, put some music on from Ovi player, had a little play. It's a nice (my word) with loads of stuff / settings!!!

The bolt on has a soft cap of around 2-3GB on contract and 500MB on PAYG- hope that helps.

Data usage on GPS depends on the software as GPS itself is free. If its the OVI maps application, when you have maps on the phone there is little to no data usage if they are already downloaded on the phone. With google maps the data usage is constant whilst moving as it downloads the map as you go.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
  • I would avise getting a sat nav app from someone like tom tom or garmin, no data charges at all , even with assisted gps

It uses Ovi Maps 3.0, I noticed each time I clicked on maps the data usage went up unless the phone was offline.

The location function won't work offline.

I don't mind paying a few pence every now n again.
