Contract up - Retention Scheme
Having been a religious follower of cashback schemes for nearly five years, thru CPW, Forward Cellular, Mobileshop and others that Ive forgotten, I rang O2 to cancel my £25 a month/100 mins/100 txts.
The deal they offered was same 100/100 deal, but at a cost of £20 for the year. Seemed a good deal when compared to the hassle with cashback redemptions/recorded letters etc.

O2 online used to be great at retentions, but they seem to have lowered their offers recently. Even with a High St contract I still think you could get a better deal, if you really pushed it.
If you could do with more mins or texts, or a new phone, make it a condition of your staying with them. If you don't require a new handset they usually credit you with £75 - £100 against your bills. All they are offering you seems to be £60. I'm sure you can do better!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
O2 seem to be starting the same mistake now (starting to get real tight with offers etc) which seen orange slip from no1 provider in the UK to No3.If you look around orange are starting to offer a bit more but Vodaphone seems to be the one offering the most.Just ring customer services say you want your PAC code as your going to go with voda etc as you dont like the way O2 are treating their loyal customers.........They will have to wake up soon or they will start losing everyone.......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

I got put on the 25 mins+25 txts package for a whole 12 months free line rental direct from O2 after I mentioned cancelling. I know it is not much but atleast one of the family can use it as an emergency phone and I can take out a new O2 contact hahahahaha0
