    Such cuties :)

I have two cats - one of them loves the snow (nothing would put her off playing out!) but the other one is not as keen. She has very sleek fur so I think she feels the cold more. I opened the conservatory door to let them out today and she leapt out but once she realised the nasty white stuff was still on the ground she tried to stop mid-air, very funny :) She was straight back in and spent most of the day lying in front of the fire ;)

A lady who lives down the road from us has cats, a dog, geese and chickens. The dog lives in the house, the geese and chickens have a house and decent run but the cats live in the outhouse. One of her cats is quite elderly and very often will come in with us for the day (I don't have cats of my own but am a cat lover so its no problem).
My husband went out to put the rubbish out this morning and heard this pityful meow and this poor cat was standing in the snow shaking. He went over and picked it up and he could not believe how cold the poor thing was, it was actually shaking all over it was that cold. It is now in our house, had something to eat and is currently snuggled up asleep on our spare duvet.
Bearing in mind at 7.00am it was -12 here and we have 6 inches of snow, this is cruel. Poor cat I'm surprised its still alive.

I wonder if the cat now thinks that it lives with you, as it oftens spends the day with you. Maybe it came 'home' last night when it particularly cold and couldn't get in to your house? He'll think you're the one who shut it out in the cold!

I think it's really nice of you to look out for him, poor freezing mite! Bet he's already tucking into a bowl of food and by the fire eh!?

He he, it was one of the highlights for me. My cat (unaware of the snow having been asleep for the entire evening) started miaowing to go out. I opened the door, he stepped out, saw the snow, became suspended in the air for a second, then legged it straight into his little kennel outside. (So glad the £30 for this was not entirely wasted).

We stood at the door giggling as we saw his little head poking out of the kennel, trying to work out how he could get back to the door without going in the white stuff again!!
