Sky is the worst company on Earth - HELP ME!

Very long story short - I moved from a flat where I had Sky to another flat. I wanted to bring Sky with me - well had no choice since I was under contract still. I moved. Satellite TV part moved over fine. Broadband however is a living nightmare. They cant figure out how to get it moved over. Back end technical glitch is preventing it from being canceled at the old address and therefore they cant start it at the new place. Its been two months now and they continue to charge me. I call twice a week for an update and nobody has one. I cant actually speak to anyone about it. The department that would apparently deal with this doesnt do calls. They can only be told to call me via an internal email system. This internal email is sent everytime I call but I have never received a single call or an update regarding anything. Essentially nothing is being done. They say I have to be charged every month because I am under contract and there is nothing I can do. I cant speak to anyone. I cant cancel. What in God's name do I do??????

Sky
You are not alone, it took Sky 3 months to sort my internet out after i moved from Orange.
Turned to be a BT foul up. I did get them to refund me though.
Managed to get onto customer relations.
I suggest you send a polite email to the boss jeremy.darroch[at]bskyb.com

You should also join and post on www.skyuser.com excellent site where Sky employees often post.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Sky told you it was a BT fault? The term BT tends to be used quite loosely by ISPs they would have meant openreach I assume... Cant Sky just re-provide a new BB account at your new address and work on ceasing your previous BB account on their own??

Eh, why don't you just sign up for another supplier for ADSL at the new address? Or are you going to just wait and wait and wait and post stupid polls?

Hmmm. If there's no ADSL on the present line (shouldn't be) you will have another supplier on the line in 5 working days. See who you can get: https://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

Then sort out the Sky mess later and if they want you back you'll have to cancel the new contract and they can pay. They will not want you to cancel obviously so stay where you are for 12 months and then move back to Sky.

Lots of options if you just think about it.

There's no need to be so rude about it.

If the OP's question has annoyed you, then just don't answer

It's the pole that annoyed me and people not helping themselves.

My comments are an excellent opportunity (and helpful) for the OP to sort the problem in a very few days.

Sounded right at the time and I was eating a Granny Smith (that's the fruit for those with a dirty mind) at the time so my mind was slightly off the subject. Honest :D

Apologies to all pedants and the spelling & grammar police* :p
