Virgin Media V+HD upgrade

I am already a Virgin customer,having TV,broadband and telephone and having recently bought a HD television I would like to upgrade to a Virgin V+ HD box.
Has anyone got any ideas or experience of the best way to approach Virgin to get the best deal for an upgrade?
Thanks in advance

    Well you could try phone retentions.
    Its the Thinking of Leaving choice.

    You will not get it totally free, but should be offered something.

    VIP =?
    Can you let us know a little more about vip, please. I need to 'upgrade' my package with Virgin.

    I'm still on Analogue (TV) and Virgin wrote to me in Dec', advising me that I would need to change to Digital in Feb' of this year. I'm wondering how to get the best deal? I suppose it will come to the old 'I'm thinking of going to Sky' chat. The Virgin CS team must get fed up hearing the same old line!
    At the moment, I pay TT £22 approx for BB and phone and £20 approx for TV. So I'm looking at what I can get for the same amount.

    I have just done this.....got a nice new hd t.v. phoned Virgin for the virgin v+ and hd....they charged me £55 to fit the box...they will also put your old box in any room you want...for £5 per month.
    I must say that i was blown away by the v+ box, so easy to use ...watch what you want when you want..record 2 x progs when you are watching another....would not now be without it.
