hi,
looking to have a ceiling overboarded and skimmed, and also 6 recessed downlights fitted and wired up. (it needs overboarding not just skimming)
ceiling is 3 metre square roughly.
what should i be looking to pay??
cheers
Not sure about lighting, but 3 metre square overboarded and skimmed should take a plasterer only half a day - boarded and skimmed, problem is you would need to pay him/her a whole day as they wouldn't be able to go to another job on that day. (clearing gear, setting up on another job etc) If you have say a couple more walls in the house that need skimming get your plasterer to do that also in the same day and agree a day rate. 1 man x 1 day x day rate + materials. I can't say how much your plasterer would charge as a day rate as I dont know where you are, however around worcester expect to pay £150-£200/ day for a time served plasterer. Hope this helps.
New to trhe forum by the way, hello everybody :beer:0
