They had some DVD+RW's in Teesside Park, the young assistants looked at me, looked at the paperwork, look at at the price on the shelf, at me, the paperwork, the price on the shelf several times, said "That's cazy!" and thought I would never get past the checkouts..........

I ordered some other types tonight , went to get them , spotty faced twerp on the till tried to tell me that there must have been an error . The only error was going to be my fist in his face if he didn't shut up & give me the goods for the dosh involved . In the end the classic line " get me the manager " worked .

i'm bloody annoyed as well.went down 2 pcw 2 get my 50 dvd-rw's @ 9 and sure enuff the guy had my order.he looked 4 15 ages then got back 2 me.nowt.asked 2 speak 2 the manager who apologised and said he cud do nowt-except give me the fone number ( not even try another store 4 me).told him i cudn't ring 0870 from my fone and asked if i cud ring from there-answer NO.he said he cud give me the addy 2 write and complain.told him i didn't want 2 write and i wasn't moving till i got sorted.so i sat there.i was only half listening but he did mention staff thieving cud b the problem.eventually he came back with an offer of 2 packs of panasonic discs 5 £15.told him no and i was freezing with the air con so i asked him if i cud ring on Tues and he said yes.v nice assistant in there and the security guard but not impressed with the manager.aint giving up.

I ordered 2 x 50spind (dvd rw) from Stirling branch = £10 but can't get over and they are held till end of trade today.
If anyone wants them then PM me and i'll give you ref no.

I do not think they will still be there.
Mine were not in Warrington...just back from a long wait in PCW.
What's happening is simple.
Offers are posted on MSE etc.
People check site to see if stock available.
People then go to store and pick them off the shelves.(taking print off from web if necessary)
In the meantime we idiots are reserving thinking they will still be there...this is the 3rd time this has happened to me...I really am an idiot:eek:
PCW staff never in my experience reserve goods from store shelves.

Reserved 3 x '50 DVD-RW' and 2 x '20pk + 10 free' CDs from Speke, Liverpool.

Went to collect last night and got the DVDs no probs but nobody could find the CDs. SA claimed that they could not have been sold to anybody else because the system wouldn't allow it if they had already been reserved, also claimed that the system is live, so the CDs SHOULD have been there somewhere! Don't know about staff theft, but wouldn't be surprised at staff hiding them. Once my reservation runs out at close of business today, they would have no hassles buying them for themselves tomorrow, would they? :rolleyes:

Did ask the SA to sell me some better quality discs for the same price but the only offer he could come up with was to knock some 10 packs down to the same price. Can't remember what brand it was but it wasn't as good as 30 discs for 10p each so I left it. Normally buy them from fairs anyway for around the same price or less.

Has anyone noticed, some of the reduced items "out of stock" online, are in stock at the local branch at full price!

So now I know who is buying all the clearance stuff in Stirling, no wonder theres never any left when I try :D:D:D

Shame you didnt manage to reserve some CDR, I'dve had them definately.
