This looks like a repeat of the really good offer that Gardeners' World magazine did with Thompson and Morgan last year - see details of last years offer in this thread here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1468533&highlight=packets+seeds+thompson+morgan

This is the link to this year's seed offer:
http://www.thompson-morgan.com/plants1/product/pwr90237/1.html

It looks like the same seed offer again, basically 10 packets of veg and flower seeds for £2.49p p&p charge. Last year it was a £1.99 charge, but the seeds were worth £20.60 and all top quality being Thompson and Morgan.

It is slightly confusing as the photo in the offer shows the same seeds that I received last year (see previous thread), but they give a slightly different selection in the list:

"Seeds include Beetroot, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Carrot, Chilli Pepper, Tomato, Nasturtium, Cornflower, Cosmos, Marigold and Rudbeckia."

I am going to give it a go a place an order as you basically end up with 10 packets of seeds for the price of 1 and can always do some swap some with someone else.

There are also a list of other very tempting Gardeners' World/Thompson and Morgan offers here:

http://www.thompson-morgan.com/affx/plants1/gwm.html

Lots of people went for the raspberry canes last year if I remember rightly.

It says that the seeds will be despatched in Feb 2010, so I will report back with a list once I get them - or if anyone else gets them first then they can do that.

PLEASE NOTE: SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH EXTRA P&P ADDED TO THE ORDER INCORRECTLY. READ BELOW TO SEE HOW TO SOLVE THIS - OR ORDER BY PHONE

I wonder the amount of seed in each packet. cant see anything obvious on this.

The packets shown look like the normal ones to me, so the amounts should be the same.
But the picture shows a squash, winter festival, I think, so it may mean nothing.

  • Many thanks for this post!
Also, is there a code for free p&p on other items, or do you need a subscription to GW?

They are the normal packets of seed that T&M sell, so the number of seeds will depend on the variety etc. The catalogue and website give an indication of what to expect. Last year I was impressed that these were top quality seeds (some are even the expensive F1s) and were fresh - not last years old stock.

You don't need a Gardiners World subscription or any code as the offers seem to be just applied at the checkout stage. I think it is only the plants that have free p&p, so if you want the seeds + plants you would still be paying the £2.49 p&P for the seeds, but no extra for the plants.

I have a £5 off voucher from T & M as well. So might have to buy some more seeds.

I liked the selection from last year and ended not planting half of them. so really don't want the same again.

Just tried it and if you add anything else to the shopping basket it adds on P + P.

Did you have to pay P + P as I did when I added anything extra in to the basket?

yep unfortunately, you do even if the £5 covers the postage and what your ordering so you always have to pay the p&p whatever

    Hi Calley

I just used my £5 voucher. Added 2 sets of the seed offer to basket and used voucher, just checked out and got order confirmation without any payment card being requested :T
