Cheap Caribbean Calling Cards

My parents are going on a cruise through the caribbean. They are getting on a bit now, so do not want to get involved with swapping SIM cards around. Therefore, are calling cards the best option?

I tried looking at calling card provider suggestions (1st calling cards or something similar?) from Martin's article, but that didnt include calling from the carribean.

They are unlikely to be calling from the boat, so just the mainland country pay phones (or is it too much of an assumption that these countries have plentiful pay phones?).

I've just returned from a cruise around the caribbean and most of the ports we stopped at had plenty of payphones either by or in the terminus. Don't let them use their mobile - I've already received my orange bill and its horrendus!!!
