The AA - Not answering calls!!! How do I cancel?

Options
I've been trying for 3 weeks to cancel my renewal for breakdown cover with the AA as its gone up to something ridiculous. I've been getting the same message every time - on every number I've tried (and I've tried a few!). 'Due to the severe weather we are experiencing a high volume of calls and there is no-one available to speak to you just now. Try again later'. How can I cancel my renewal when they're not answering the phone?

Have you actually tried that or are you guessing / googling their number?

All numbers for anything other than breakdowns are resulting in that message.

I tried that one, but on my phone is not accepting the '4' when i hit it on my keypad, which may well be my phone.

We're in the same boat. Cant get through to them to cancel. I assume they're using all their agents to take breakdown calls.

We've emailed them a couple of times this week, but they havent got back. We've also cancelled the direct debit instruction.

I would presume the AA will be the same as when i worked for the RAC all non emergency lines are dedicated to the Breakdown lines when the weather is bad like this due to the level of calls they will be getting. I would cancel your DD and call them in a day or so.

They're obviously very busy at the moment.
Our car blew up Monday, I called them and was told they are not taking on any more callouts due to a backlog. I was told to call again in 24 hours.
Luckily I also have greenflag cover who came out within the hour.

    Bloody great the AA.
Took out insurance with them a few months back. Then they rang 2 or 3 times a day for the next month trying to sell me other crap.As I suspected when the shoes on the other foot they are harder to reach than Lord Lucan.
