    Hi lilabeth,
My DH has had the same problem with Orange-they sent him a bill for nearly £400 in July. He is still trying to sort this out but Orange are being obstructive to say the least and have passed his account on to their in-house debt-collection agency. He is currently waiting for them to send him an itemized breakdown of his usage and has had to send off £10 for the info-cheeky beggars!
Wish you luck in trying to get this resolved-it won't be easy!

I think a lot of people are having this kind of trouble - not just limited to Orange.

Obviously it's not incredibly helpful - but it might help you sleep at night to know Orange do cap UK mobile broadband usage - it's a £40 cap max charge per month for the 30 day contract, and a £30 cap max charge per month for the 12/18 month contracts.

These caps don't apply if you go abroad though!

I have a thread elsewhere here that asks about Orange Broadband monitoring so won't enlarge upon that here, but V interested to see about the £40 cap. But how does that match up with the post above with a £400 bill ?

Sorry it's a stupidly large pdf... but it's in here:

    http://shop.orange.co.uk/pdf/mobile_broadband/Mobile_Broadband_Price_Guide_17November2009.pdf

"Internet Everywhere [that's all of them] tariffs include a promise that Mobile Broadband data charges will not exceed £40 over and above the applicable monthly charge. The bill promise is applicable to UK data usage only, does not include Roaming data charges, excludes additional bundle and/or service charges and is subject to Fair Usage Policy.

Contract length -- Maximum additional UK data charges
    30 days -- £40
    12 and 18 month tariffs -- £30
    24 month tariffs (laptops) -- £30

Lilabeth........ I have a thread elsewhere here where I am querying my account in relation to monitoring the usage, unfortunately nobody has got back ! Which monitoring tool are you using Orange Internet Everywhere or Orange Mobile Partner ?
