    thank you :)
  • I have been having problems with my LL. I have been renting from them four years at the end of January with no problems and i have always been able to contact them to get things fixed that is up until beginning of last year. I have nto been able to get hold of my LL at all to let them know that there are some major serious repairs that need doing that i am not obliged to undertake or pay for. I have since gone to my local citizens advice center as well as be in contact with my local council (it was the council that found me the flat that i privately rent), The council wrote to my LL but there has been no contact so now i have put a complaint into Enviromental Health which is now being delt with by them. They are coming out to inspect my home and see for themselves what a state that the place is in more structually than any thing, I know it is not my fault and my LL is now breaking the law by not keeping up to date any contact information to me as well as not responding to any letters, aswell as not keeping the property in good repair. Ok so i stupidly sent a letter to my LL normal post and did not save a copy of it but the council have since sent one to them and have a copy of that for their records. I have been told that i have done every thing legally i could to inform my LL of the problems and i have now gone on to the next step. Because of my tenancy there is a possibility that my LL could evict me which by law she could do but the council have said that if that happens then they will help me because it is not my fault.
Shelter does have some really good information on there as to where you and your LL stand legally and advises you on where you can go for more help.
If you still have problems then go to your local citizens advice centre they will be able to help you sort it out.

Warmfront will not normally fix central heating in a private rental - it is the LL's responsibility.

    I'd find a better LL.

they will replace providing they have the landlords consent and the tennent has certain benefits
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
