Ooh that's an interesting idea... an original fast food type thing that they can't get elsewhere on campus! :)

At my old uni (Sussex) the Student union building has a big central square which gets the majority of the footfall to/from campus

There was someone who used to regularly set up with a big gas burner and a hug wok type thing who did an amazing beansprout/potato/spinach type concoction - really cheap to make and sold it in normal takeaway containers for £1. He made an absolute killing - served with various sauces - chilli etc.....

Think the big thing was because it was veggy so no having a meaty/veggy option

  • Someone had set up a business at my uni selling a list of things that would be delivered at all hours - perfect for after pub munchies!

They had a delivery charge that covered their time and the list was not that extensive to stock.. List had things like crisps, pot noodles, biscuits, toiletries.

That is actually quite a clever idea, provided that you have the time to do it and no social life! :rotfl:

That is a really cool idea. I briefly thought of delivering booze in the early hours... not sure if that's legal though :D ... altho maybe??

But still... this is a really good idea. Just need someone with a car to go into business with! :D Altho, I live near the uni so delivering to the freshers in halls would be an option on foot.

Some people tried this near me for a while but I think they got slapped down under licensing laws. Worth looking into but it would be fun trying to deliver 6 slabs of beer to anxious students on a push bike or on foot ;).

    Haha true, true :D

Anyway, I'm not sure late night delivery of even legal stuff is viable without a car  but I still maintain it's a great idea :)

My mind keeps shifting to the freshers in Sept and taking advantage of their excitement of signing up to everything. I just need a cunning plan :rotfl:

Indeed! :rotfl: Ok yours was better than mine.

I would never take advantage unless there was some money in it...

    ... oh dear.
