Tesco - Branston Baked Beans

Options
Seems they have changed their packaging and no longer having a silver shiny wrapper on their cans.....so Tesco were clearing out their current stock with the old wrapper.

New wrapper cans - 4 for 2.89, old wrappers - same can, same size - 50p each, or......4 for £0.89! Have stocked up - won't have to buy baked beans for a heck of a long tme! Sure it will be a good deal in other grocery stores too - and they really are better than Heinz :)

  • I think they are 90p in Morrisons, so even a bargain against that! :-)
  • I think the beans taste awful, so I won't be buying.
  • They are bearable if you are putting them in casserole type things.
    Bump due 22nd September
  • New packs of 4 on offer @ Somerfield for £1.20 something
  • I sound like some sort of Branston company employee or summat, I;m not but I prefer Branston beans to all the others, usually buy the cheapie own-brands but when I feel like splashing out, I don't buy the obvious brand, I buy Branston beans! In my opinion, better than the market leader.

Actually Richard & Judy did a blind tasting, I am told, and they chose Branston as the best tasting baked beans, too
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Well if Richard and Judy endorse them they must be the best.

Aside from your misplaced sarcasm, yes! I do think Branston's are the best tasting beans. Wanna compare posh-ness? :p

Branston beans are a must in this house too - I don't eat baked beans normally, (was raised on Heinz) but I enjoy Branston beans in casseroles etc, and can even eat them plain. I think the sauce is tastier and less sweet than Heinz
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
