Junior developer/web all-rounder needed

Martin’s MSE developed MP3 comparison site Tunechecker.com is looking for a self starting developer and web all rounder, with either two years experience or a relevant degree to work in the MoneySavingExpert.com West London office.

Who’d be suitable

This is more than just a developer role, Tunechecker is a new site and preferably you’ll be an all-rounder with good written English, excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible attitude, basic design skills, a passion for music, basic understanding of SEO and more. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to be in at the beginning of one site, and get stuck in, while working alongside the MoneySavingExpert.com team – which is one of the biggest 100 sites.

Essential Technical Skills:

An understanding of...

Php
mysql
JavaScript
Ability to build html from graphic templates.
Good written English and copyrighting skills

The role will require modification of existing code and the applicant will need to be able to adapt their coding style to match the code already written – under guidance from the authoring developer. It’s a great chance to broaden your technical abilities in web based technologies.

Salary and conditions...

The work is five days a week, but one of those will always be a Sunday and some work will be outside normal hours

This is initially a six month contractual position.

Salary commensurate with experience (note: MSE never states salaries on site. It isn't appropriate for future MSE team members salaries to be listed here in the Forum)
