    Erm....I think you've missed the point. Office 2010 Beta = Free. Office 2007 = Not free. So the inference is that there is no need to purchase the older version, as there is a free updated version....as long as it covers your needs. :)

    And by the time it finishes 2010 will be considerably cheaper.

    Also been using Office 2010 for some time without any problems, it's free to use till some time around the end of 2010 (November as I recall), so worth the download to use for free for at least the next 10 months.

    As this is a money saving site surely this is the best option. You can even install it on the USB memory stick so you can take it to any pc you use.
