After a few weeks of deliberation - I decided just now to go for a deal with buymobiles.net - found the deal I wanted and it said 'port a number' - I took that to mean to take my existing phone number. Great!

Then I filled in relevant company that I am with, which is T mobile and the deal I am after is with T mobile, and it said I cannot go from T mobile to T mobile............ I'm a bit dim on alot of this milarkey and could do with some help here, please...

Thanks!

This is what I was after...

Link permitting..

  • True on some networks - you could always port out to a PAYG sim on another network then back in, could have a temporary number for a couple of days?

Sounds like a real pain.......... not sure I can be bothered! I've fluffed about now over what phone/deal/company and lord knows what! Might as well keep what I have!

  • Sounds like what you want is an upgrade. They have a sidebar left link to upgrades, it says for T-Mobile upgrades to call a number, they should be able to sort something for you.

with witchypoo. if you want to stay on T-Mobile and you want to commit to a new contract period then go through their upgrade/retention options.

You don't say what your current deal is but it's also always worth considering just sticking with what you have if it's a good deal that suites you and the usage you make with your phone.
