LOL Loopdiloop. ;D
To explain I have rheumatoid arthritis, and have a lot of difficulty getting about, I have four & a half lawns which I can't do myself, so I need the help of a gardener.
I'd rather be able to do it meself Loopdiloop, honestly.
Ummm.... I perfectly well, fit and able but I am a LAZY @RSE!!!!!
O/H has hayfever so he can't do it and to be honest....I pay £10 a fortnight to have the lawns mowed, the borders dug, the paths and patio cleared, leaves swept up, all the weeding done and the hedge trimmed.
To be honest, it's cheaper than buying all the equipment I'd need, it's easier than finding a 'child free' time to do it and I don't have to dispose of all the cuttings, clippings, weeds etc.
Also they can do in half an hour what would take me all day.
And also not forgetting that I'M A LAZY @RSE! ;D ;D ;DJust run, run and keep on running!0 -
Thats good Jay-Jay, send him round here
Mine used to cost £26 just for the lawns any extra work like hedges I had to pay extra, and the hedges cost £35.
Didn't Bon Jovi do a bit of gardening once ::) ;D0 -

£10 1/2 hour work. Send him to me pleaseeeeeeee.
One of my lawns takes me 30 minutes the other 1 hour. I got rid of borders as I too have chronic hayfever. Bought a vac for the leaves but it's too heavy for me to use. O/H now wants a chainsaw for our trees. Boys and their toys~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Poppy9....
There's three of them ;D. one mows (big petrol lawnmower that leaves pretty lines on the lawns), one digs and one strims, clears up and put's weedkiller down. They work their way down the road, each doing his own thing.
I live on a street with lots of elderly people so these chaps are worth their weight in gold.
They arrive, work like heck and leave... I just say hi when I open the door to pay them ;D
I cut my hedge myself once. By the time I'd borrowed some clippers, found an extension lead, cut the bl00dy hedge, picked all the pits up and put plasters on all the cuts and scratches on my arms.... I was considering putting Tarmac down on the whole garden >:(
Gardening eh?.... overrated IMO ::) ;DJust run, run and keep on running!0 -
Lol Jay Jay
Round by me we have the Mower man. He comes every year tells you there is something wrong with your mower as your lawns look crap. Trouble is if you give him your mower to repair you never see him again >:(
Out of curiosity what do you pay for window cleaning. I pay £12 (11 windows, 2 doors and french doors).~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
